YOUR GIVING MATTERS…

Please know that when you give to The Evangelical Free Church of Crystal Lake, your offerings are carefully invested by church leaders towards the advancement of the gospel.

Options for Giving:

1. Give via our EFCCL church app

Online giving is not only convenient but also really easy to do! This is the preferred option as it takes the least amount of time and effort on your part (and ours). We hope most of you already have our church app installed on your phone, but if not, here is the download links for both Android phones and iPhones.
Here’s how it works:

  1. Click on "Giving" in the navigation menu on the left side of the screen. From there, you will have the option to either "Sign In” or “Give Now.”

  2. If you choose to sign in, you will only have to enter your payment information once; if you continue to give as a guest, you will be asked each time to enter payment information.

  3. Once your information for online giving has been entered, a screen will come up where you will fill out the amount you wish to give, choose what fund your gift will go towards, and add comments if needed.

  4. That’s it! You will receive an email conformation of your gift from EFCCL Bookkeeper.

2. Text-to-give

Texting is another convenient way for you to give when you’re not at church. If this is your first time giving via text, a link will be texted to you asking you to link your credit or debit card to your phone number.
Below are some simple steps to follow when you want to give via text.

  1. EFCCL’s text number is 815-240-0575

  2. There are two different fund keywords you can choose to give to:
    General fund= efccl // Benevolent fund = efcclben

  3. Text the dollar amount you wish to give to 815-240-0575, include a space, and then include the correct keyword from above. For example:
    • If you want to donate $100 to the general fund, it would look like this: 100 efccl
    • If you want to donate $25 to the benevolent fund, it would look like this: 25 efcclben

  4. Please Note You MUST include a space between your keyword and dollar amount. If you do not, the system will not recognize that you are trying to make a donation.

  5. If this if your first time using text-to-give, you will receive a text back with a link to follow asking you to link your debit or credit card to your phone number.

  6. Once you do this, you will receive a text confirmation that your donation was successful, and you will also receive an email confirmation.

3. Online giving

We offer secure online giving that you can set up to use your debit card, credit card, or even your bank account. You will need an EFCCL ONLINE ACCOUNT to sign-in through our EFCCL database (no cost, only takes a few minutes). Once registered, you can submit a one-time or recurring payment right away. Get started now by signing in, or creating an EFCCL ONLINE ACCOUNT, if you don't already have one.

  1. If you experience any issues while using Safari, please try switching browsers and using Chrome instead.

  2. Already have an online account? CLICK HERE to GIVE ONLINE.

4. Automatic Withdrawal - Electronic Fund Transfer (EFT)

If you sign-up for automatic withdrawal or EFT, EFCCL’s bank can withdrawal your donation from your bank on the 2nd and the 16th of each month, or the next business day AFTER that date.  The withdrawals do not need to be the same amount on both days.  Also, withdrawals can be made on only one of the two days per month if desired. Your withdrawal then appears on your monthly bank statement and the tax-deductible contribution statement from EFCCL at the end of the year.

  2. Forms must be returned to the church office by the 20th of the month to begin automatic withdrawals the following month.

5. Bill payment through your bank

Most banks today give their clients the ability to pay bills online. When the client requests a bill to be paid via the bank’s website, the bank then mails a physical check to the “Payee" (EFCCL). If you desire to do this, here are the steps (understanding that your bank may function sightly differently):

  1. When logged in to your bank’s website, look for their “Bill Pay” option.

  2. Set up EFCCL as a Payee. You will need our address: 575 E Crystal Lake Ave., Crystal Lake, Illinois 60014, and our phone: 815-459-1095

  3. Follow your bank’s instructions and website to set up a payment to be sent on your selected date.

  4. If you run into problems with this process, please contact your bank for better, more specific instructions.

6. Set-up a recurring gift

You have the ability to set-up a recurring gift to the church online or in our app. Whether you give via credit, debit, Google Pay or ACH, you can use this benefit for your tithe or your benevolence giving to make things just a bit simpler for you. Here’s how to do it:

  1. Access our giving form through our app OR online.

  2. At the top underneath “My Donation”, click on Recurring.

  3. Select the fund from the drop-down menu and enter a dollar amount.

  4. Under “Recurrence” enter how often and when you’d like it to start.

  5. Lastly, just enter the payment information (credit, debit, Google Pay or ACH) and you’re all set!

**If you would like to EDIT an existing scheduled gift, once logged in, click on the “Scheduled” tab then click on the pencil icon to edit the recurring gift.

7. Mail us a check

If any of the above options don’t work for you, you can always mail a check to the church:

Did you know…?
