Hey what are those big lights backstage? It's our Roboscans!! Finally
back from Martin. Yeah! I should get those back up next week. We will
definitely use them for the kid's musical.
You should also notice the backstage area is different. I finally did some reorganizing that needed to be done.
Right now, I'm getting ready for the John Cox concert tonight; should be good.
Again, lots of help is needed for Good Friday. Come talk to either me, Doug, or Sheri.
On
a personal note, thank you for your continued prayers for Jen's back.
It is slowly getting better. We hope to be back to normal (or close to
it) within a week. And then it's on to an exercise program and therapy.
This year is going to be different for Good Friday. We will not be
doing a traditional service. Instead we will be doing "Journey to the
Cross." There will be 10 areas throughout the lobby and worship center
for people to experience Good Friday.
So, we will need some help
preparing these areas. Outside of the choir room on the bulletin board
is a listing of the things needed. We need some graphics, powerpoint
(or equivalent) , audio files, and some other stuff.
Please stop by and talk to either Sheri, Doug, or myself.
All right, I know. It's been way too long since my last post. With the
musical, Christmas, extra services, and the NYE bash, it's been very
busy around here. But all that is behind us, and we're back into our
regular routine. I thought I would give everyone an update on things.
Lights-No big updates here. I will be cleaning up the ques after the musical and making sure everything is right.
Audio-No
big updates here either. I did purchase a new limiter for the recording
feed. Last weekend was the 1st one for it and the levels are almost
right where they should be. I think we've gotten in a nice groove with
the Avioms. In about a month we will have a refresher course for the
musicians and audio people.
Video-I think we've settled in with the new mixer. We just added a new DVD recorder that is doing really well.
Easy Worship- I installed a slightly new version. Really no new features; just bug fixes.
Also,
please continue to pray for my family as we get ready for Abby's
surgery in March. She can't get another infection until then. We're
also in full mode of looking for a house in this area. We are
definitely looking and have a couple possibilities, but no moving date
yet. I'll definitely let you know when it's finalized.
